Outdoor Discovery Festival at Lopez Lake Recreaiton Area
11:00am - 5:00pm come and discover the great outdoors with San Luis Obispo County Parks. Activities include Nature Boat Tours, Eco-Fair with exhibits and demonstrations, Arts & Craft activities and vendors. Live music entertainment will be happening throughout the day. If you like hiking, biking, kayaking and more. This is the place to be! It's a great family event and everyone is welcome.
Day use fees are $10 per vehicle so make sure you carpool to this green event.

The clinic is held at the Nature Center near the Marina. Space is limited plese sign up by 9:30 a.m. Kids will be given lessons with an experienced fishermen on fishing ethics and conservation, knot tying, fish types and ecology as well as how to cast your line. Stewardship Traveler Program - Learn to Fish at the Lopez Lake Fishing and Outdoor Ethics Clinic - 9:00am – 12:00am Join knowledgeable anglers for hands-on fishing clinic that includes outdoor ethics, fishing instruction, skills techniques, and actual fishing time on the parks fishing dock. Stewardship Travelers will then participate in a Ranger led aquatic ecology hike and helpful shoreline clean-up to protect wildlife habitat if desired. Adults and kids 16 and over will need a fishing license, which can be purchased at the Marina. The fishing clinic is free, but there is a $10 per vehicle entrance fee. Meet at the Nature Center near the Marina. Space is limited please sign up by 8:30am. All equipment needed is provided and everyone gets a chance to fish. Rain cancels event.
